A Great Blue Heron taking off from the edge of Cooper Point near Olympia in Washington State. I captured this image while resting on Cooper Point after kayaking from Boston Harbor on the other side. Mt Rainier is in the distance on a beautiful Summer day.

Born and raised in New Zealand, I have loved to take photographs ever since I was given a plastic 35mm camera on my 13th birthday.
